Any Parklane Travels legal information you may need

Ticket Policy

1. A Ticket may only be used by the person(s) named in it or for whom it has been purchased and may not be transferred to or used by anyone else. If a passenger intends to transfer the ticket, they need to physically change the ticket along with the transferee.

2. All tickets issued by Parklane Travels are non-refundable.

3. Tickets from “no-show” passengers, without prior notification, will become invalid and non-refundable.

4. If a passenger changes their mind about traveling, they should notify Parklane Travels at least 1 hour before the scheduled departure.

5. A ticket issued by Parklane Travels is valid for a maximum duration of 12 months.

6. Lost and Stolen Tickets: We will not be obliged to replace your Ticket if it is lost or stolen. You will be required to purchase a new Ticket at the published fare for the Journey(s) you wish to make to enable you to travel.

7. Tampered with Tickets: We will not be obliged to replace your Ticket if it is tampered with (including by any information on it being altered or obscured in a way we consider is, or is likely to be, deliberate). You will be required to purchase a new Ticket at the published fare for the Journey(s) you wish to make to enable you to travel.

8. Return Tickets: Passengers with return tickets should contact the agency via WhatsApp at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure and confirm the ticket at least 1 hour before the said departure by physical presence. Parklane Travels shall not be responsible for passengers who have failed to communicate their wish to utilize their return tickets on time.

9. Payments: All proof of payments should be made to the designated Mobile Money and Orange Money numbers bearing the name “PARKLAINE BUSINESS CENTER”. Payment to any other number not bearing these credentials shall NOT be our responsibility.

Luggage Policy

1. Pets or live animals are prohibited onboard.

2. You may store luggage in the hold of the bus, free of charge, 1 large suitcase or rucksack each measuring no more than 75cm x 50 cm x 32 cm and weighing no more than 24 kg.

3. We only agree to carry fragile items if they are of a reasonable size and securely packaged so as not become damaged in the luggage hold, subject to space being available and any charges being paid if the items are excess or outsized.

4. Hand luggage must be stowed in the overhead compartment. Parklane Travels reserves the right to stow hand luggage in the checked luggage compartment situated under the bus or to reject certain luggage.

5. Oversized or extra-large luggage will be subject to additional fees.

6. Prohibited items: We are not obliged to carry any of the following items, and you may not bring them onto any bus or into any agency without our permission:

(i)Weapons;

(ii) Firearms and explosives;

(iii)Drugs (other than medications);

(iv)Caustic substances or solvents;

(v) Non-folding pushchairs/prams;

(vi)Flammable products;

(vii)Pointy and Sharp objects;

(viii) Any item which, in our opinion or in the opinion of any Parklane Travels Representative, emits an offensive odor regardless of packing or preservation methods. Items may include, but are not limited to, liquids, perishable foods, animal remains, and or vegetation.

7. Parklane Travels will not be responsible for any damaged or lost luggage.

Passenger Behavior

1. You are responsible for carrying with you at all times a valid proof of identity.

2. Punctuality: In our bid to deliver on our promise about punctuality, passengers are advised to be at the bus terminal at least 30 minutes before departure. Parklane Travels shall not be held responsible for late passengers.

3. You must wear the seatbelt provided at all times whilst seated in the bus during a Journey (as this is required by law and for your own and others’ safety). This also applies to passengers traveling in wheelchairs. You may still use the toilet facilities on board the bus, but must fasten your seatbelt immediately upon returning to your seat.

4. Acceptable Behavior: You must ensure that you:

(i) Behave in a reasonable, sensible, and lawful manner on a bus and at any agency;

(ii) Comply with any request or instruction from any driver of a bus or any Parklane Travels Representative; and

(iii) Use mobile phones and other electronic devices considerately on all buses and in any agency.

5. Prohibited Behavior: You must ensure that you do not:

(i) Behave in a way that is, or is perceived to be, abusive or threatening to any person or otherwise in a disorderly way;

(ii) Conduct yourself in a way that does or may endanger yourself or any other person;

(iii) Obstruct or interfere with any driver or other crew on a bus, or any Parklane Travels Representative, in the performance of their duties, or fail to comply with their instructions;

(iv) Behave in a manner that causes discomfort, inconvenience, danger, damage or injury to any other person or to property on board any bus or at any agency or to any agency;

(v) Obstruct or allow any of your luggage to obstruct any aisle or emergency exit on any bus;

(vi) Play any music players, musical instruments, or electronic devices that are audible and distracting or annoying to any person on any bus, or which interfere with, or render less audible, any public address system or other equipment;

(vii) Take onto any bus, or into any agency, any alcoholic drinks or drugs (other than medications) for the purpose of consuming them, or consume them on any bus or in any agency;

(viii) Board any bus whilst under the influence of alcoholic drinks or drugs (other than medicines)

(ix) Smoke (including substitute smoking materials such as electronic cigarettes) onboard any bus or at any agency;

(x) Board any bus whilst you are seriously ill or suffering from any serious contagious illness; or

(xi) Commit a criminal offense.

PARKLANE PARCEL SERVICE 

IMPORTANT NOTICE

1. Collection Time Policy

•All parcels must be collected within 48 hours of arrival notification.

•Parklane is not responsible for spoilage or deterioration of parcels not collected within this period.

2. Holding Fee Policy (Non-Perishables)

•For non-perishable items, a holding fee of FCFA 500 per day applies after 48 hours.

•Holding fees must be settled before parcel release.

3. Perishable Goods Policy

•Perishable goods are transported at the owner’s risk.

•Parklane does not guarantee freshness if delivery or collection is delayed.

•No compensation for spoilage due to late pickup or recipient unavailability.

4. Damage & Packaging Policy

•Customers are responsible for the proper packaging of all items.

•Parklane is not liable for damage caused by poor or inadequate packaging.

•Fragile items must be clearly declared and labeled.

5. Valuation & Liability Policy

•Compensation for loss or damage is limited to 10% of the declared value.

•Undeclared parcels attract minimal or no compensation.

•Maximum liability applies per parcel.

6. Prohibited & Restricted Items

•Parklane does not accept illegal, hazardous, or prohibited items.

•Parcels found to contain such items may be confiscated or handed to authorities.

7. Claims Policy

•All complaints or claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery or arrival notice.

•Claims submitted after this period will not be entertained.

8. Address & Contact Accuracy

•Customers must provide correct recipient details.•Parklane is not responsible for delays caused by wrong or incomplete information.

9. Unclaimed Parcels

•Parcels unclaimed after 14 days may be sold, disposed of, or returned to recover costs, without further notice.

10. Acceptance of Terms

•By sending a parcel with Parklane, the customer agrees to all stated terms and conditions.

PARKLANE PARCEL NOTICE

• Unclaimed parcels after 14 days may be disposed of to recover costs. Sending a parcel means acceptance of these terms.
